Parish Facilities Manager (PT), Holy Name Parish, West Roxbury, MA

Holy Name Parish and School in West Roxbury is currently looking for a part-time Parish Facilities Manager to join their team. The person in this position will be responsible for the overall maintenance of the parish and school. This position is 24-30 hours a week, on-site at the parish in West Roxbury.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspection, monitoring, and maintenance of the electrical, heating, air and water systems to ensure all safety requirements are in compliance.
• Opens and closes buildings as needed
• Provides set up and cleaning of rooms for events as needed
• Provides tear down and cleaning of rooms after events as needed
• Create job specifications related to the rehabilitation and repairs within the physical plant.
• Performs routine maintenance tasks as needed
• Manages and logs record of equipment performance, maintenance scheduling and service contracts, maintains compliance with OSHA and Archdiocese safety codes.
• Responsible for procuring parts and equipment, manages equipment warranties and insurance claims.
• Responsible for vendor management and supervision.
• Consult with Archdiocese Facilities Management Department on construction and/or renovation projects to ensure adherence to Archdiocese policies and procedures
• Consult with the Risk Management Department on safety and insurance-related issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience in Facilities Operations preferred.
• 5 years experience in facilities operations / management.
• A working knowledge of equipment maintenance with “hands on” experience preferred.
• Must have knowledge and understanding of safety codes at State and Federal levels.

PHYSICAL PERFORMANCE ELEMENTS:

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
