Faith Formation Coordinator (PT), Mary, Queen of the Apostles Parish, Salem, MA
The Faith Formation Coordinator supports parents using the Faith and Family Life Catholic Ministries model of catechesis in the parish. This includes the three sacraments of First Penance (Mend), First Communion (Nourish), and Confirmation (Zeal). This program may also expand to include Baptism (Claim). This is an on-site position at the parish offices in Salem.
Responsibilities
Facilitates sacramental and faith formation programs, with special emphasis on the youth of MQOA.
Understands how to incorporate in-home learning, web modules, and in-person at church and prayer models.
Promotes faith development and teaching to parents in line with the churches’ understanding of the vital role parents play in their child’s faith development.
Other duties as assigned by the pastor from time to time.

Fully embraces the mission and vision of the parish and supports our work using the Divine Renovation program.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to communicate well both orally and in writing.
Comfortable with online learning models is crucial.
Qualifications
Education: College degree in management or church ministry is preferred but not required.
Experience: Five years’ experience in a similar position including management or ministry leadership.
A practicing Catholic who will be active in MQOA’s parish life.
Ability to develop a culture of respect and acknowledgement of Catholic doctrine.
Good organizational skills, facilitation skills, and ability to manage.
Ability to prioritize, be flexible, present oneself professionally, and to maintain confidentiality.
Fluent in Spanish is ideal to meet the needs of our parish.
