St. Katharine Drexel and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parishes to Host Prayer Service for World Day of Migrants and Refugees at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 1548 Blue Hill Ave, Mattapan Square

Join us for an afternoon of prayer and storytelling. The event will begin at 12:10 p.m. with Mass, celebrated by Bishop Cristiano Barbosa at the Pastoral Center, 66 Brooks Drive, Braintree. Together, we will pray for migrants and refugees throughout the Archdiocese of Boston and around the world. Following Mass, join us for light refreshments and hear personal migration stories, as well as a brief presentation by the Archives Department featuring the migration stories of prominent individuals whose journeys helped shape the Archdiocese. We invite all new (to the Archdiocese of Boston in the last 1-2 years) parish catechetical leaders (including but not limited to children’s faith formation, youth ministry, and adult faith formation) to spend a day in conversation with our team. We will pray together and discuss archdiocesan offices, initiatives, resources, and best practices relevant to parish work. There will also be time for networking with other leaders.
